¡Feliz Navidad Amigos!

19 Dec

Today is our last lesson before Winter Break.  Our last class in the semester is January 2nd.  We will learn about Los Tres Reyes Magos – The Three Wise Men in a fun lesson – – personally, one of my favorite.

To say that this time of year is busy for many families is an understatement.  “Crazy busy” may better describe all that needs to be wrapped, sent in the mail, purchased, baked or cleaned.  Am I right?

In light of all that is bad that has taken place in current events, I challenge us parents to take time  – even just 5 minutes – to contemplate and remember the joy in the season and see the wonder Christmastime through our child’s eyes.  If you are looking for a family activity, may I suggest turning off the lights, the TV and sit by your tree as a family and read The Legend of the Poinsettia written and illustrated by Tomie DePaola:

And finally, no Spanish lesson is complete without a rendition of the most awesome Spanish Christmas song ever:

¡Feliz Navidad, Mono!
